Last night the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame inducted legendary punk trio Green Day.

Inducting Green Day were pop-punk inspired four piece Fall Out Boy, in which lead singer Patrick Stump defined that, “ The silhouette of Billie Joe playing guitar would be a recognizable posture as Michael Jordan’s mid-air dunk.”

When collecting their award, Green Day’s leading man Billie Joe Armstrong expressed ‘ It’s like I’m sitting in a room with my record collection’.

Armstrong along with band brethren’s Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool, performed a catalogued of hit’s infront of a star-studded audience. The hit’s included ‘ Basket Case’, ‘When I Come Around’ and the famously anathematic ‘ American Idiot’.
